Use the email address Web-Contractor set up for your business. We'll email you a 6-digit code.
Your hours are locked on this phone before they're sent, and only the owner can open them. You can't see the business's records, and the business can't see anything else on your phone.
You're signed in for this tab only, so closing it signs you out and stops a running clock. Tick "Keep me signed in" next time on your own phone.
Your records are encrypted on this device before they're saved, so nobody else can read them: not Web-Contractor, and not anyone who breaks into the server. Your passphrase is the key. Pick something long that you'll remember.
If you forget your passphrase, this code is the only way back in. Nobody can reset it for you, Web-Contractor included. Print it, or save it in a password manager.
This counts money actually paid in and out. For each job's profit with hours at real cost and parts from stock, see the Jobs tab.
Job profit is what you billed minus the hours (at each person's real cost), materials and parts on the job. The Profit tab counts money actually paid in and out, so the two can differ.
Include yourself, with the hourly pay you want to earn. Real cost is pay plus the burden: payroll taxes, workers' comp, insurance and benefits.
A savings guide, not tax advice. The dates are when US federal estimated tax payments are due (the next business day if one falls on a weekend or holiday). Ask your accountant what percentage fits you and what to pay.
Money received and spent, by the month it was paid. CSV files aren't encrypted, so send them privately.
A backup file keeps your records encrypted, so it's safe to store anywhere. It opens with the passphrase you have when you make it. Download one every month.
This code opens your encrypted ledger if you forget your passphrase. Keep it somewhere safe and private, like a locked drawer or a password manager. Anyone with this code and access to your email could open your records.
